We're Tom and Filip, two brothers born and raised in Belgium. We are forever curious, always exploring, and we both have a contagious passion for travel. Perhaps it was engrained in our upbringing - our father travelled the world on business.
So yes, we love travelling - and, between the two of us, we have visited over 50 countries. We love new discoveries, and we always search for places & experiences with character, originality and beauty. In 2018, we decided to launch destinationX because finding highly unexpected travel ideas is time-consuming for many people. Moreover, it's difficult to find these ideas in traditional guidebooks, travel brochures and on websites. With destinationX, it's our ambition to bring those hidden pearls to the surface. We believe that the most meaningful moments often take place when we move away from the familiar - and we want to help people become expeditioners of their own life by telling stories about the amazing and surprising places & experiences on our planet.
